Our Milestone club was authorized by the National Milestone Car Society in 1972, and subsequently was independently incorporated and became the sole survivor of that organization. A “Milestone Car” at the time was subject to a certification process, meeting defined standards of styling, engineering, performance, innovation or craftsmanship. Under the leadership of Fred and Deanna Roth, the club organized multi-marque shows in Southern California. These culminated in the very successful Father’s Day Car Shows at Cal Lutheran College, with a concours division from 1992 to 2006. In 2008, the club changed its venue for its Father’s Day show to Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard, an open show, with free entry for public spectators. In the present day, membership is sought from those with an interest in preserving any aspect of automotive history and tradition.
